We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and creative Physiotherapist to work as a Physiotherapy Team Leader within the Acute Physiotherapy Team in Centre Area of BCUHB.
This post will be responsible for the day to day management of the Inpatient Physiotherapy teams at Glan Clwyd Hospital, North Wales Cancer Centre, and the Orthopedic Physiotherapy team at Abergele Hospital.
The post-holder will be based in YGC and will be expected to carry a clinical caseload within one of the following clinical teams: Respiratory, Medical/COTE, Orthopedics, D2RA or Vascular (to be discussed at interview).
The post-holder will work alongside other team leaders and the management team to improve and develop Physiotherapy Services across the Centre Area.
Main duties of the job As the team leader, the post holder will support the physiotherapy management team by holding operational responsibility for their teams, including supervision, performance management, sickness absence management, staff appraisal, risk management and informal 'on the spot' resolution.
The post holder will hold a clinical case load, performing advanced clinical assessment of patients including those with highly complex presentations and from this formulating a diagnosis and treatment plan carried out as an autonomous practitioner. Will have acquired specialist knowledge within clinical work area.
You will be supported in this role by the Senior Physiotherapy Management Team. Appropriate training and courses will be provided.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
