Certain Advantage are supporting a prestigious Global Engineering Services client in the recruitment of a new Business Analyst position in Somerset. This is a unique opportunity to work with an organisation heavily involved in nuclear new build programmes across the UK and Europe, including the UK’s first in a generation Nuclear Power Station. The Role As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for supporting a Business Architecture Lead in formulating, directing, and delivering Business Architecture projects. You’ll get to deploy your expert business analysis skills, broad business knowledge and specialist expertise to create solutions that deliver an effective and efficient business operating model. You will remain engaged throughout the development and implementation phases to manage requirements change, validate the solution, and prepare the business for implementation. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on the end-to-end project lifecycle; from developing the initial project concept & capturing and evaluating business requirements, collaborating with 3rd parties to identify solution options, developing investment cases & challenging the suggested benefits, through to supporting business acceptance including process and system walkthrough and testing. What we’re looking for Relevant qualifications and experience in one or more of the Business Architecture disciplines of process management, business analysis, data and management information or IT system development. Experience delivering Business Architecture solutions that eliminate duplication and improve efficiency of business operations. Experience of formal project management techniques, (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP/PMI), plus associated tools and processes, including planning and estimating. Experience of Request For Information (RFI) and Invitation To Tender (ITT) activities, including the creation and use of an evaluation score card. Excellent communication, presentation, and written skills, with relevant experience of influencing decision making of senior executives, business managers and third parties at a strategic level. Experience of developing business cases for large complex business change programmes, including financial and numerical modelling and appraisal skills. Does this sound like your next career move?
