As such we are looking to appoint an outstanding Area Sales Manager – Ireland to this exciting position which is not about consolidation but focused acutely on growth. Responsibilities:

This key position demands an individual with the commercial acumen and drive to create innovative solutions to bring sustained competitive advantage. Reporting to the Head of Sales, your role will encompass both hands-on and strategic sales activities for customers in Northern and Southern Ireland (Northern Ireland currently has the biggest share of commercial activities), where you will be required to develop long-term alliances, increase market penetration and exploit new opportunities. You will formulate and execute all sales and commercial activities for the region and be responsible for business development, sales execution and key account management activities. You will act as the focal point for the customer leading activities commercially, financially and technically, together with driving customer satisfaction to the highest degree. To maximise profitable revenue within the customer by developing and managing sales strategies, plans and relationships. You will lead diverse sales and commercial activities encompassing market segmentation, price control, stock control, forecasting and pipeline management, whilst facilitating and developing existing and new applications for key products and services. You will re-align the sales agenda for the region bringing a fresh impetus to both existing and new customers. Person:

Of graduate calibre, you will have an outstanding track record in both business development and key account management gained in a forward-thinking organisation where best practice is part and parcel of everyday life. You will therefore have a strong understanding of margin management and development of best in class customer relationship management. Your background will have been gained most likely in a dynamic B2B customer-centric environment where you will have experience of most likely selling technical/engineered products. It would be advantageous if you have had exposure to a broad customer base i.e. SME’s/jobbing shops/Councils/Local Authorities. Practical, commercial and credible in equal measure, you will be a forward-thinking character and will be distinguished by your passion and ability to achieve major breakthroughs in sales performance.
