/ Permanent / Thetford / Salary £45,000 - £49,000 Position 1 Recruitment is working with a leading food manufacturing company to find an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a professional and supportive engineering team that focuses on improving operational efficiency. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of automated machinery. You will minimize downtime, carry out preventative maintenance, and respond to breakdowns. Your duties will include troubleshooting PLC systems, electrical installations, and taking part in project work. Key Responsibilities

Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on automated machinery, such as conveyors, palletizers, vacuum packers, and wrapping machines. Respond to production breakdowns and carry out corrective maintenance. Troubleshoot PLC systems and complete electrical installations. Get involved in small projects and improvements to optimize site operations. Develop and implement maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Follow Health & Safety standards, including lock-off procedures, and comply with company protocols such as risk assessments. Keep the work environment safe and clean with good housekeeping practices. The ideal Maintenance Engineer will have:

NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering. 17th /18th Edition I.E.E. Regulations certification. Competency in PLCs and fault finding. Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge. Ability to read and understand schematic drawings. Personal Attributes

Self-motivated with strong organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Adaptable and able to handle changing priorities. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. What's on Offer
