Location: Leeds – Hybrid, with initial training in office 5 days a week, with ability to work from home 2 days a week once training is completed.

We are now recruiting for a

Credit Controller

to join us. Reporting to the

Free Trade Team Leader , this role will:

Key Accountabilities:

Manage a sales area ledger consisting of customers on credit and cash terms.

Daily credit management of trade accounts ensuring targets, deadlines, and objectives are met.

Manage risk by regular/daily phone contact with customers and sales managers.

Ensure full quality diary notes/comments are made, ensuring these comments are on the ledger reviews for all overdue debt.

Daily credit management of ledger/ledgers, ensuring accounts are paid to terms agreed and overdue debt is collected.

Work within own empowerment level to deal effectively with customer queries and claims, keeping relevant query spreadsheets updated.

Review and assess held orders to manage risk; refer to authority matrix and ensure they are released within the required timescale or where necessary ensure that the customer and sales are notified of any held or delayed orders.

Ensure that the Credit Manager is regularly updated and that areas of concern are highlighted promptly.

Review and maintain accurate master data records by actioning reports promptly and ensuring compliance with GDPR rules including the closed account process.

Contribute to a successful team culture, building relationships and helping to develop and maintain a high-performance team ethos.

Experience and Key Attributes required:

A previous role in Credit or within the brewing industry is desirable but not essential.

Aptitude for problem-solving with the ability to work using their own initiative.

A drive for continuous development improvement in self and others.

Work as part of a larger team contributing and delivering joint objectives as well as individual ones.

Awareness of Money Laundering and Fraud prevention.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presenting.

Ability to handle difficult conversations.

Ability to work stand alone or in a team and prioritise and plan daily tasks without need for referral.

Excellent organisational skills, time management skills with a strong attention to detail.

Working knowledge of 365 Office; knowledge of ERP (SAP) is beneficial.
