The Field Service Engineer role:
Conduct routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on forklift trucks and machinery powered by internal combustion engines. Ordering and administrating parts and consumables. Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults on-site and in the workshop. Carry out pre-planned maintenance to reduce equipment downtime. Provide technical support and advice. Offer Engineering services to the wider company function where appropriate. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company guidelines. The successful Service Engineer:
Proven experience in servicing and repairing forklifts, heavy plant machinery, or similar equipment. Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines (diesel, gas, or petrol). Mechanical bias with a solid understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics. Welding skills would be highly advantageous. A full, clean UK driving licence (essential). Great communication skills and the ability to work independently. What's in it for You?
