Booking Officer - Gynaecology and Colposcopy

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Booking Officer to join our Gynaecology and Colposcopy team. Under the guidance of clinical teams, you will play a vital role in coordinating appointments and ensuring timely communication with patients and care providers in alignment with the Trust's access policy. If you are passionate about providing exceptional administrative support in a healthcare setting, we'd love to hear from you! Main duties of the job

Coordinate and manage outpatient appointments using eReferrals (eRS), waitlists, clinic outcomes, and ward referrals for YDH and Community Hospitals. Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Gynaecology and Colposcopy departments. Deliver friendly, professional, and effective advice and information to patients, colleagues, and visitors. Liaise with clinical teams and care providers to ensure smooth appointment scheduling and adherence to policies. Qualifications

5 GCSE or equivalent including English, Maths Grade A-C. NVQ level 3 in Business Administration or Customer Service or equivalent qualifications or relevant experience. Experience

Proven experience of providing customer focussed service. Proven experience in an administrative role. Proficient IT skills including keyboard skills and experience of Microsoft packages. Proven experience of effective communication including with distressed, anxious or angry individuals and able to escalate where appropriate. NHS systems experience. Additional Criteria

Ability to develop and maintain professional working relations with colleagues. Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload in a methodical manner. Ability to give clear instructions to members of the team. Ability to meet daily work tasks and deadlines. Good concentration skills and attention to detail and ability to problem solve. Able to work on own initiative. Able and motivated to be flexible to the requirements of the service need. Required to spend a considerable period of working day sitting in front of a PC monitor.
