We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Primary Care Nurse to join the Primary Care team at HMP Askham Grange, a female open prison and YOI, based just outside of York. The hours we are looking to cover are: Monday-Friday 7.00am - 5.30pm, Saturday & Sunday 8.30am - 10.30pm. Salary: This position is offered on a Bank basis, and the hourly rate is £23.41. Main duties of the job

As a Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will: Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions. Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening. Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse-led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team. Provide outstanding evidence-based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalized and informed by what matters to them. Qualifications

Essential

Registered nurse Adult Current professional qualification (NMC) ILS trained Practice or A&E background Evidence of Continued Professional Development Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working A non-judgmental and compassionate approach Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
