The successful applicant will join the busy maintenance team to perform electrical & mechanical maintenance activities at a busy heavy industry manufacturing plant.
The Role: Reporting to the engineering manager, the Maintenance Engineer will be required to undertake planned and reactive electrical maintenance activities on a wide range of plant, machinery, and site facilities. Your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Mechanical & electrical maintenance/repair of a wide range of machinery including conveyors, crushers, screens, furnaces, cooling plant, and much more. Maintenance and repair of hydraulic & pneumatic machinery. Electrical fault finding and repair of motors, inverters, contactors, sensors, relays, etc. Site facilities electrical maintenance. PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance). Candidate: The Maintenance Engineer will be a competent engineer with good electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair skills. Preferably, you will hold a formal mechanical or electrical engineering qualification, e.g., 17th/18th Edition certification or NVQ level 3 or HND/HNC in electrical engineering. Previous work experience in a heavy industry environment such as foundry, recycling, or quarry and aggregates sectors would be an advantage; however, all applicants with necessary skills will be considered.
Hours of Work: 12-hour shifts, days and nights.
