Waltham Forest are looking for a Band 4 Senior Administrator to cover maternity leave on a fixed term 12 month contract to support both Waltham Forest Local Authority and Waltham Forest Looked After Children's Team based at Wood Street Health Centre. Main duties of the job
The ability to communicate effectively is integral to the role as well as being able to prioritise workload in line with service demand. The successful candidate will require excellent administration and organisational skills, attention to detail, work well under pressure and have a good telephone manner. We are looking for a candidate who is a team player, enthusiastic, flexible and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Essential criteria for the post include: NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy or numeracy NVQ Administration/ Customer Service Level 3 or equivalent level of proven experience Ability to update and maintain efficient administrative systems & support data collection Have a good working knowledge of IT including ability to effectively use Microsoft Office packages such as Outlook, Excel, Word and databases Person specification
Qualifications
NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy NVQ level 3 in relevant subject or equivalent level of proven experience RSA text and word processing level 2 Experience
Working in a busy office environment Working in an NHS environment Creating and maintaining office systems Handling sensitive and confidential information Experience of working autonomously Knowledge
NHS priorities and issues Good working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Update and maintain efficient administrative systems Maintain confidentiality/data protection Able to use own initiative and make decisions on behalf of others Able to analyse systems to improve services Skills
Advanced level IT skills Establish and maintain good working relationships Clear communication skills, including excellent writing, data entry and presentation skills Able to work without supervision and use own initiative Organise and prioritise own workload Other
