An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and innovative 7/8a Clinical/Counselling Psychologists (Devel) with experience and a keen interest in mental health, to work within Guildford Community Mental Health Recovery Services based in South-West Surrey. This is a part-time post (13hrs). The post holder will work with adults who experience severe and enduring mental health difficulties, particularly those with complex trauma, personality disorder, and psychosis. You will be part of friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary teams that greatly value the skills and expertise of our Clinical and Counselling Psychologists. Knowledge of working with high-risk, complex mental health difficulties and experience in group therapy work and project work is essential. Training and experience in evidence-based trauma therapy and CBT are required. Training and experience in third-wave CBT models such as ACT, DBT, and CFT are desirable. This is an exciting time to join SABP as we are at the forefront of developing services and are working closely with NHS England to develop and test new models of care. We have received additional funding to transform our community and crisis services, and you will be joining us at an interesting and exciting time in NHS Mental Health Services. Key Responsibilities Be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and maintain high standards of care in accordance with the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines, and Trust Policies and Procedures. Act within the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act (2005). Implement Safeguarding Adult and Child Protection Policies, Procedures, and legislation. Carry out comprehensive psychological and cognitive assessments, formulate, plan, implement, and evaluate the delivery of psychology interventions and consultations to support people with specific and complex needs. Actively involve people in developing and agreeing to their care plan, advocate for their dignity, choice, self-esteem, and respect their racial, cultural, sexual, and religious needs and preferences. Work creatively to adapt verbal and written communication to meet the needs of people who use our services. Undertake comprehensive risk assessments and develop effective risk management plans for people with complex needs. Please refer to the job description for full details. About Us

Qualifications

Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology qualification or equivalent Must be HCPC registered psychologist Any additional therapeutic qualifications e.g. EMDR, advanced CBT, advanced psychosis. Experience

Experience across a range of psychological models including systemic, behavioural, and individual therapeutic Experience supervising assistant or trainee clinical psychologists Training and experience in evidence-based trauma therapy and CBT Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust £46,148 to £60,504 a year (Incl. 5% Fringe HCAS) per annum, pro rata.
