The Company

This well-established engineering and fabrication business specializes in high-quality steelwork solutions. With over 40 years of expertise, they design, manufacture, and install platforms, mezzanines, safety cages, tanks, stairs, and bespoke structures for industries including food, construction, and renewable energy. Known for their excellent staff retention, they recently expanded into a new facility and invested in state-of-the-art equipment to support their growth.

The Role

As a Project Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and managing bespoke steel structures using Advanced Steel and AutoCAD. Your responsibilities will include: Creating detailed technical drawings and designs. Coordinating projects from concept to completion. Managing materials purchasing and liaising with suppliers. Providing technical support to fabrication and installation teams. Ensuring project deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.

The Person

To thrive in this position, you'll need: Proficiency in Advanced Steel (Highly Desirable); if not, experience in using Tekla or Autodesk Inventor will be considered. Experience in designing the following or similar products: Steel Access Platforms, Mezzanines, Industrial Walkways, Steel Fabricated Stairs & Cages, Tanks, Vessels, Hoppers, etc. Strong knowledge of metal fabrication and welding processes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. A proactive, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and project management.
