Cyber Security Analyst

·
Full time
Have you ever wanted to work in Cyber? This is a great opportunity for an entry-level Cyber Security Analyst with a keen interest in Information Security and an ICT support background.

This role is based at either of our Ipswich Hospital or Colchester Hospital sites, but we have a flexible approach to home working.

We are an ambitious trust with a simple vision: to provide the communities we serve with excellent healthcare and build a better future for the people of East Suffolk and North Essex. To help us do this, we will work closely with our local partners to deliver more of the joined-up services and care our residents need.

If you are committed to stepping into the world of Cyber Security and share our commitment to put patients at the heart of everything we do, then we’d love to hear from you.

If we receive sufficient applications, this post may close before the stated closing date.

Key Responsibilities:

Development and ongoing maintenance of the Trust’s cyber security posture of both bespoke applications and 3rd party off the shelf software solutions. Assist the Trust in the provision of cost-effective, risk-controlled, robust, reliable, responsive, and secure security solutions to protect the Trust from external attacks. Participate in all areas of security including analysis and threat hunting, design, patching, virus protection, security education, versioning control, testing, documentation, technical implementation, and deployment. Develop and maintain excellent technical knowledge regarding IT security issues. Work as part of a dynamic team delivering an effective service, ensuring operational needs are met to an approved standard and defined performance criteria within Service Level Agreements. Lead the ongoing development of the IT environment, keeping abreast of new technologies and helping implement those that will benefit the Trust. Develop an understanding of the Trust’s and NHS IT systems sufficiently well to advise users on any problems encountered. Resolve incidents via cooperation with other team members, Trust staff, and suppliers where required to rectify system problems and implement preventative measures.

We are ESNEFT and we provide hospital and community health services to almost one million people across East Suffolk and North Essex. Our dedicated staff deliver care from acute hospitals in Colchester and Ipswich, community hospitals, surgeries, community clinics, and in patients’ own homes.

We pride ourselves on supporting our staff. We offer a wide range of training and development opportunities, as well as flexible working options.

Along with supporting you to achieve your career goals, we offer a generous pension scheme, unsocial hours payments (where applicable), 27 days annual leave on commencement (pro rata), and access to a range of NHS discounts. Our Staff Health and Wellbeing programme offers a variety of services.

Our philosophy is that Time Matters to everyone. Across the Trust, we concentrate on improving the things we do and removing those which cause time delays for our staff and patients.

If you are passionate about patient care and want to develop your skills and knowledge, then we want to hear from you.
