Are you an experienced sales professional or someone with relevant transferable experience in the timber industry, looking to advance your career? We are looking to hire a full-time Internal Sales professional to join our Robert Price Cardiff Timber Branch. The ideal candidate will be results driven and possess excellent communication skills to engage with potential clients effectively. Our specialist timber branch offers a wide range of products, including sawn and milled timber, treated timber, made to order timber and bespoke timber services. Hours:

40 hours per week to be worked between 7:30am – 4:30pm from Monday to Friday. No weekend working. Key responsibilities

Dealing with sales and general customer enquiries. Being responsible for the pro-active development of specified customer accounts. Giving prices and quotations. Processing orders. General sales office administration. Liaison with external representatives. Essential skills & experience

A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Timber products and their applications. Experience in a fast-paced sales office. The ability to develop new business accounts, build excellent customer relationships, maximise profitable opportunities and consistently deliver a first class customer service. Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills. Confident selling skills. Good IT skills, (Excel, Outlook and Word especially), and excellent paperwork efficiency. The ability to multitask, to prioritise tasks wisely and complete them in a timely manner. The ability to grasp new systems quickly and follow company procedures and instructions accurately, thoroughly and methodically (training will be given in our products and systems). General enthusiasm, confidence, reliability and versatility. Knowledge of timber products and their usage, an interest in the timber industry and good numeracy skills. Good arithmetic, preferably GCSE Maths grade C or equivalent. You never feel like ‘one of many’ when you work for Robert Price.
