Software Development Engineer
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Software Development Engineer on behalf of our client based in Telford, Shropshire.
Hours:
Mon-Fri | Mon-Thurs #removed# & Fri #removed# - Fully Office based Salary:
£38,000 - £44,000 DOE.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Maintaining and enhancing our own C++ based gauge/machine control software (GaugeXplorer). Designing and creating bespoke software applications. Creating interface drivers for a large range of hardware including motors, sensors, printers and cameras. Providing direct customer and in-house support for production and service departments. Occasional travel to customers' facilities both UK and overseas.
The successful Candidate: Computer degree level in software/computer engineering and maths. Visual C++ (essential), C#, SQL, in-depth understanding of Windows OS. Stemmer CVB, Machine Control, Image Processing (Advantageous).
Characteristics: Reliable. Focused and driven. Assertive and confident. Professional, credible, and approachable individual. Must be capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined team and also independently. Enthusiastic and committed. Ability to work in a challenging environment, under pressure and to time scales. Meticulous attention to detail.
