We are looking for an entry level QA Analyst / Software Tester to join our Client's growing team in Chorley on a hybrid basis, working within a mixed manual and automation testing environment. You may be an I.T Graduate seeking an opportunity to work in software QA and testing, or have prior testing experience and looking for the next step to drive your QA Test career forward. You will join a talented QA team testing innovative applications and products end to end, at the user level and code level, both manually and with automated tools. You'll develop an understanding of the software internally and their client business requirements, helping drive refinement, debugging problems and writing manual and automated tests cases with scripting tools and/or user-level automated tools. Review and analyse system specifications Collaborate with QA Testers to develop effective strategies and test plans Execute test cases (manual) and analyse results Evaluate product functionality according to specifications Create logs to document testing phases and defects Report bugs and errors to development teams Help troubleshoot issues Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle And who we're looking for...?

A proactive and ambitious Graduate or entry level Tester with great interpersonal skills and a passion for self-development. Ideally you will have:

University Degree or Apprenticeship equivalent within the field of Computer Science. Preferably +1 working experience in the QA and testing field Preferably some industry experience relevant to EDI, Supply Chain, ERP, Logistics or any other relevant software. Experience in QA methodology and Software Development Life Cycle Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) Basic knowledge of testing phases and approaches, including functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing Ability to document and troubleshoot errors Basic knowledge of test management software tools (e.g. Jira, Zephyr Scale) Excellent communication skills It would also be nice if you have:
