WE Talent are seeking a skilled and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our client's team in Maldon. This pivotal role is responsible for managing the entire purchasing function, ensuring supplier performance, cost efficiency, and the successful execution of new product development (NPD) and new product introduction (NPI) processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the purchasing department, ensuring adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier control, cost reduction, and development. Oversee supplier relationships and ensure continuous improvement in quality, reliability, and cost efficiency. Drive the effective implementation of NPD and NPI processes in alignment with project timelines. Utilise modern material control techniques and transaction reporting practices to maintain operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with highly regulated purchasing systems and methodologies, ideally within medical device manufacturing or a similar regulated environment.

Requirements:

Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within a highly regulated industry, such as medical device manufacturing. Strong knowledge of modern material control systems and reporting methods. Demonstrated ability to manage supplier performance and achieve cost-reduction targets. Practical experience in NPD and NPI processes. Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
