Warehouse Team Leader

to join our B&Q site in Blyth – S81 8PU. You will lead a high performing team of flexible and engaged colleagues, focusing on delivering operational excellence at all times. These are full time, permanent positions, where you’ll be working on an ‘any 5 from 7 shift’ pattern, typically Monday to Friday. The working hours will rotate weekly between 06:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00. Pay, benefits and more: You’ll be paid a salary of up to

What you’ll do on a typical day: Plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of the warehouse operatives, providing effective communication, leadership, succession planning, motivation, training and development. Support the FLMs in achieving the warehouse/transport operational KPIs and service levels, whilst driving improvement initiatives across the site. Manage and own all elements of the admin, stock and systems processes, being the point of contact for issues, and finding resolutions. Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities. What you need to succeed at GXO: Experience of working within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Be a natural leader, able to coach others to drive and implement change. Experience managing conflicting priorities, with the ability to plan and organise a warehouse operation. Strong IT skills, including warehouse systems and Microsoft Office.
