We are currently recruiting for a

Catering Assistant

to join our team at one of our

workplace restaurants/independent schools/conference venues

in

To service client meeting rooms, assisting with delivery working lunches, formal and informal buffets. Assisting in managing client functions & events. Consistently maintaining a high standard of service and presentation of teas, coffees, snacks, working lunches, buffets and formal functions. Demonstrate and train to team excellent customer care skills. To consistently present correctly laid out tables, events and trays as per client specification. To ensure crockery and cutlery are clean and highly polished. All drinks fridges to be checked – presenting fresh chilled water at appropriate times. To liaise and communicate with the Chef Manager to enable efficient and effective running of hospitality service. To be willing to undertake any training to enhance the role as necessary. To address all site and client personnel appropriately. To always wear the full correct Company uniform in a clean and tidy fashion. There will be a requirement on an as and when basis to cover evening functions & restaurant operation. To develop team members and ensure they are operating within all health and safety and food safety guidelines. Ensure all food safety paperwork is completed and filed correctly. Administration and Policy

To ensure the hospitality kitchen and storage area are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and orderliness. To ensure correct stock rotation and food storage procedures. Where required to take temperatures of equipment and/or food and record. To complete allocated cleaning duties to the required standard including equipment, walls to 6ft, floors, fixtures, fittings, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, glassware etc. Cleaning schedules to be completed & signed. To ensure all hygiene and cleaning procedures are adhered to. To use the Personal Protective Equipment provided. To assist with any other duties as required by the Unit Manager. To attend any reasonable request by the Chef Manager. To lead all stock takes and ensure good stock taking processes are in place. Train and maintain cellar training for all Food and Beverage assistants. Complete annual training sessions with the team; front of house, conference services and bar. To report any customer complaints and take some remedial action if possible. To report immediately any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, or other irregularities. To take responsibility for the tidiness and presentation of the function rooms. To inspire the hospitality team, conduct staff meetings and appraisals. Wilson Vale Perks
