Production Process Engineer

who will work closely with various departments, supporting production leaders by enabling continuous improvement and managing projects from start to finish.

Info about what the Manufacturing Process Engineer role entails:

Predominantly a site-based projects role managing manufacturing optimisation projects from cradle to grave, as well as supporting the day-to-day running of operations by assisting production leaders.

You will be involved with process improvement, operational excellence, and NPI. This will include automation projects, the industrialisation of equipment including the oversight of where the equipment will go, what the material flow looks like, layout perspective, and everything that goes into getting the process up and running and handed over to production.

You will be reducing production costs and increasing productivity by using Lean principles and providing solutions to recurring production issues using problem-solving skills such as 5Y's, Fishbone, and 8D's.

Essential Requirements of a Manufacturing Process Engineer: Engineering related Degree in manufacturing, production, manufacturing systems, automation, electrical, mechanical, electronics, etc. A good attitude, highly motivated individual who can move things along quickly, is willing to learn, and wants to grow in the department and wider business. Process improvement / operational excellence experience ideally in a relatively high volume. Implementation / understanding of lean manufacturing principles such as Value Stream Mapping, VSM, 5S, 8 wastes, etc. Able to manage projects and problem solve. Experience providing solutions to recurring production issues using problem-solving skills such as 5Y's, Fishbone, 8D's, etc. Good communicator - part of the role is to be able to make changes and communicate why and the reason behind the changes.

Desirable Requirements of the Manufacturing Process Engineer: Any experience with PowerBi for data analysis, dashboards, etc. A passion for technology, looking for ways to apply vision systems, camera systems, and automation wherever possible. Automation experience. Electronics manufacturing experience. Exposure working within a regulated environment/industry.
