Production Manager - Scunthorpe About Kettle Meal Solutions (KMS) Kettle Meal Solutions (KMS) is based in Flixborough, Scunthorpe and is currently undergoing a period of expansion following the acquisition of new business, which has resulted in a considerable financial investment in new machinery, people, and processes. Kettle Meal Solutions is part of Barrowcliffes group of companies owned by Kettle Produce Ltd, which consists of six manufacturing sites employing over 1500 people based in the UK and Spain. Barrowcliffe's is one of the UK's most established food processing companies, specializing in providing chilled food products to the retail and food service sectors. About the Role Reporting into the Factory Manager, you will be responsible for leading, motivating, and developing the production teams. You will promote Health and Safety and Technical activities, lead factory audits, and drive a proactive mindset when it comes to managing GMP and audit-ready factory standards. You will lead by example and work on your own initiative to maximize plant capacity through efficiency improvement and driving a continuous improvement attitude within the production team. You will work cross-functionally to build relationships across a wider network and challenge the status quo. About You You will have a pro-active "can do" attitude, be approachable, friendly, and welcoming, and be a people leader. The successful candidate must have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and change management skills and possess the necessary skills to plan and implement change at a factory level. Minimum of 1 year's management experience. Previous experience in production manufacturing, ideally in the food industry. Level 3 in Food Safety. Continuous Improvement Certification, i.e. Six Sigma. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate at all levels. An excellent team player. Excellent problem-solving and decisive decision-making skills. Strong time management and personal organization skills. Benefits Salary up to £40,000 per annum subject to skills, knowledge, and experience.
