We empower our teams to achieve excellence and drive forward-thinking solutions, aiming to enable a resilient and sustainable world." - David Ibeson, Group CEO Your Role: As Senior Claims Handler you will be responsible for handling claims, reporting into claims management, as well as developing key relationships with third parties and employees within Apollo. What you'll do: Responsibility for claims emanating predominantly from US casualty book across Apollo syndicates with line sizes up to $10m. Handle claims within defined authority, scaled by class and as part of overall claim structure. Provide claims input to underwriters on coverage and/or wordings matters, identify, and share insight into claim development trends/material themes. Provide reports and updates on the status of the claims. Produce and maintain all administration involvement with handling a claim. What we are looking for: Experience of technical claims handling. Solid working knowledge of the US legal framework and familiarity with nuances state by state. Working knowledge of ECF, market claim systems. Ability to adapt and adopt flexible schedule, when necessary, aligned with US portfolio. Share experience and knowledge to help develop others within the team, with ability to communicate ideas and knowhow clearly aligned with claims culture. Ability to work in a highly collaborative and innovative manner within a high performing team, recognizing discussion/reporting areas at the appropriate time. Good communication skills with demonstrable examples of internal and external influencing. Sound knowledge of procedural, legal and regulatory framework [Lloyd's, PRA/FCA in particular] applicable to claims, and ability to apply pragmatically. Ability to be flexible in approach, willingness to take on ad-hoc tasks and associated reporting. Hard working – performance to meet and exceed Apollo internal standards and expectation.
