Technical Writer
Location: Dundee
Salary: 31,200.00 - 39,000.00 (based on skills and expertise)
We are looking for a self-motivated and proactive individual to join the Information Products (technical writing & 3D design) team within our Shared Services group based at NCR Atleos, Discovery Centre in Dundee. This is a rare opportunity to join a small but dedicated team of hardware technical authors and 3D designers, during a period of strategic transformation and growth.
Key Areas Of Responsibility Team Member: Create and update a range of customer and service publications for NCR Atleos hardware products. Publications include ATM (Automated Teller Machine) site preparation, installation, operator, service, and parts manuals. Identify improvements to publications and support transformation of delivery routes to users.
Project Management: Prepare project plans with key milestones and deliverables. Participate in review meetings with engineers and validate publications with hardware in labs. Identify and incorporate required content or changes into publications. Manage workload and priorities to fit project timelines and, when necessary, communicate information about schedule milestones that may be at risk. Complete status reports and participate in department and project team meetings.
Cross Functional Collaboration: Develop and maintain close cross functional relationships with Engineering, Product Management, Quality, Manufacturing and Services to ensure alignment of deliverables. Contribute to process documents as part of Quality Management System reviews.
Required Skills And Experience
Experience in an engineering, technical writing, or technical customer service role. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Have a sense of urgency with the ability to multi-task. Customer focus / user-centred design awareness. Ensure adherence to standards. Systematic and methodical approach to problem solving.
