Provide first-line reactive response to critical heating and hot water plant, including gas pipework, outside of normal business hours if necessary. Enable and reset critical plant following power outages or interruptions to services, ensuring systems are left in a safe and operational condition. Ensure all company-issued tools are PAT tested, certified, and logged with the office. Maintain and ensure specialist meters are certified and compliant with legislation, technical standards, and industry requirements. Read and understand risk assessments and method statements before commencing works, ensuring full understanding of the scope of the Safe System of Work (SSOW). Monitor and record plant information, escalating issues as required. Estimate time and materials for jobs, constructing quotations to support the Client Supervisor with parts and works details. Assist with local financial control for reactive and essential repairs by following good practices and working collaboratively with the Client Supervisor. Monitor and book spares and materials for job works orders, ensuring adherence to financial controls and timelines. Oversee and update site logbooks and Gas Safe records in support of the Client Supervisor. Ensure reactive calls and service delivery are efficiently arranged for the client in collaboration with the service desk. Key Skills and Qualifications

Certifications:

Current ACS Certification, covering Core Safety, Indirect Fired Appliances, and Pipework (Commercial), or Core Safety and Boilers for domestic roles. City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Plumbing and Heating. Technical Skills:

Proven fault-finding expertise on all forms of gas appliances and systems. Knowledge of HVAC and gas equipment operation, maintenance, and repair. Experience working with gas plant and associated equipment such as fans, controls, pumps, and pipework. Skilled in applying engineering techniques in line with British Standards or IGE equivalents. Additional Competencies:

Strong verbal and written communication skills for interactions with engineers, office staff, and clients. Understanding of budgetary principles to assist the Client Supervisor with expenditure control. Ability to recommend and implement improvements to technical scope, plant performance, and energy efficiency. Accountabilities

Reporting to the Client Supervisor and Service Manager, taking full ownership of responsibilities and works. Working collaboratively as part of a team, supporting administrators and the Client Supervisor. No direct budgetary responsibilities but contributing to financial control through diligent practices.
