Location: Field-based position covering Hull and surrounding areas in North and East Yorkshire (HG, HU, YO, WF postcodes).

The Role: We are seeking an experienced Gas Engineer to work across high street retailers and banking clients. The successful candidate will carry out maintenance, repair, and basic electrical and fabric-related tasks to ensure the smooth operation of buildings under contract.

Responsibilities: Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and ensure all paperwork and reports are accurately completed. Deliver statutory and mandatory tasks within required timescales, completing certification and clearly identifying any remedial works. Handle reactive maintenance tasks and emergency repairs efficiently. Use handheld technology for task management and reporting. Participate in a call-out rota to provide full out-of-hours coverage. Assist team members as required and liaise with supervisors or contract managers as needed. Monitor subcontractors' work standards, issue Permits, and ensure adherence to Health & Safety regulations. Provide information for quotes and identify opportunities for additional works on-site.

The Ideal Candidate: Qualifications: City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Experience: Proven maintenance, testing, and fault-finding skills on equipment such as: Boiler plants Ventilation systems Pumps Generators Switchgear Cables, batteries, and small power/lighting systems. Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices. Ability to work independently, manage tasks effectively, and respond proactively to client needs.
