Nursing Associate who would like to start their career on an inpatient unit or would like a fresh challenge working in an acute setting. Robin Ward is an 18 bedded female only treatment ward offering acute mental health care to women. The ward provides single sex accommodation and has a multi-disciplinary team including psychologists, occupational therapy, recreational workers as well as the nursing and medical team. You must be a Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register and have at least a Level 5 Foundation degree level specific to nursing associate practice. Previous experience of working in a care setting would be an advantage, as would an interest in mental health. Come and join our friendly team! Main duties of the job

As our new Nursing Associate, you would be welcomed into a safe and supportive multidisciplinary staff team that would empower and encourage you to be the best version of yourself for the benefit of those we care for. On a day-to-day basis, the role involves working with registered nurses and the wider multi-disciplinary team to assess, plan, organise and deliver clinical care in line with service needs and service-users' mental and physical health needs, as agreed with supervising clinicians. Working hours would involve shifts, including some nights, weekends and bank holidays. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills, as well as the ability to think quickly and act in a calm and sensible manner. They will also need an understanding of relational security and be prepared to model and promote the Trust's values at all times. Benefits

As a Nursing Associate on Inpatients, your responsibilities would include: Providing compassionate, safe and effective care and support to service-users to improve and maintain their mental, physical and behavioural health and wellbeing. Monitoring the condition and contributing to the ongoing assessment of the health needs of service-users on a continual basis in partnership with other professionals, families, and carers. Using knowledge and experience to make evidence-based decisions and solve problems. Communicating effectively with colleagues as an active member of the multidisciplinary team. Providing training and support to healthcare assistants and other staff as required. Person Specification
