Modality Partnership East Surrey Division has a part-time vacancy (25 - 27 hours per week over 3 days) for a Specialist Paediatric Nurse to be based at Townhill Medical Practice (Caterham). The postholder will be a high performing skilled Specialist Paediatric Nurse, working across Modality East Surrey Division and be required to deliver face-to-face clinical activity providing expert nursing care to children and young people in a primary care setting, working closely with families, GPs, and multidisciplinary teams. The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced clinical skills, a passion for paediatric health, and a commitment to improving outcomes for young patients. The role involves the delivery of evidence-based practice for patients presenting with acute or chronic conditions, along with the provision of preventative health care to the practice population. The role is not a regular 9am-5pm job; it requires innovation, flexibility, and commitment to work with the wider team to ensure patient care is managed effectively. About us

Experience

Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in paediatric care. Experience working in a primary care or community setting is desirable. Skills and Knowledge

Advanced clinical assessment and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children and families. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection legislation. Attributes

Compassionate, patient-focused, and adaptable. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to improving health outcomes for children and young people. Experience in asthma, diabetes, or allergy management. Training in Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) or equivalent. Familiarity with EMIS patient record systems. Qualifications

Registered Nurse (Child) with valid NMC registration. Postgraduate qualification or experience in paediatric nursing. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
