Housing Solutions Officer
for a Local Authority Client based in
North London. In this role, you will provide expert housing advice, prevent homelessness, negotiate with landlords, and support clients in accessing housing solutions and welfare benefits to ensure sustainable accommodation. About the role: You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives: Provide housing advice, assess homelessness applications, and negotiate with landlords to prevent evictions and secure tenancies. Represent clients in court hearings, assist with welfare benefits, housing grants, and manage client caseloads. Conduct outreach services and housing solution clinics, offering face-to-face support and guidance to clients. Maintain accurate records, stay updated on housing laws, and collaborate with agencies to address client needs and crises. About you: The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience: Experience in housing advice, case management, and negotiating with landlords to prevent evictions and secure tenancies. Knowledge of housing law, homelessness legislation, and welfare benefits, with a focus on tenant rights and financial assistance. Proven ability to represent clients in court hearings and manage crisis situations, providing emergency accommodation when necessary. Strong collaborative skills, working with agencies and providing outreach support to clients through face-to-face clinics and advisory services. What's on offer: Salary:
£22+ph *may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience* Contract type:
