Hales Group are seeking a Machine Shop Manager on behalf of their established client based in near Diss.
For this role, we are looking for a competent manager who has experience with CNC Machines, Multi Axis Centres and used to milling an turning. You will also have experience with a wide range of materials. The right candidate will manage the day to day running of the machine shop.
Salary: Up to GBP45,000.00 depending on skills and productivity Work Hours: 40 hours (Monday to Friday 8:00am 16:30 pm)
Key Responsibilities, But Not Limited To :
Program, set, and operate multi-axis machining centres. Complete multi-tool setups for production runs. Perform manual checks to ensure component accuracy. Adhere to technical documentation and compliance standards. Carry out high-standard milling and turning work. Manage job priorities based on deadlines and business requirements. Supervising a team of machinist and ensuring production is running smoothly. Ideal Candidate Profile: 5+ years of hands-on experience as a CNC setter/operator/programmer. Proficient in Fanuc programming, with a solid understanding of G & M codes. Ability to interpret technical drawings and produce components to exact specifications. Hands-on experience with both lathe and milling machines. Effective time management and ability to meet critical deadlines. Quick problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Strong estimating skills for time and material costs.
