Permanent Position £45,000 per annum Christmas Bonus. James Grace Local is currently recruiting for an experienced maintenance engineer to join a packaging manufacturer based in Leicester. The successful candidate must have previous experience within the packaging industry and engineering qualifications. Job Summary The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment in the facility. Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm 1 hour unpaid lunch Responsibilities Utilise mechanical knowledge to maintain and repair machinery Supervise maintenance staff and provide leadership in executing tasks Troubleshoot electrical systems and logic controllers Improve quality in production facility via planned maintenance Read and interpret schematics for equipment repairs Conduct welding tasks when necessary Provide excellent customer service to internal departments Skills Proficient in electrical systems and mechanical knowledge Ability to supervise and lead a maintenance team effectively Competent in troubleshooting logic controllers Skilful in reading and interpreting schematics for repairs Capable of conducting welding tasks when required Strong customer service skills Proficiency in English language Essential requirements: Forklift counterbalance license Certified COSHH trained Fire Marshal Training Working at Heights, Confined Spaces Experience in BRC or ISO auditing compliance Engineering qualifications Certified HACCP trained to Level 2 as minimum Full UK driving license If you are interested in this role, please apply directly through this website or for more information contact Jayne Baxter at James Grace.
