Are you looking for the opportunity to make a real difference to nature, heritage and people across Staffordshire? As Environment Manager, you will lead a team of specialists in ecology, landscape, trees and the historic environment, providing advice and technical input on environmental management across the council. With expertise and experience in partnership working, you will lead development and input to partnerships and initiatives that support the conservation and recovery of Staffordshire’s natural and historic environment. This will include strategic support and management of our partnerships for nature recovery across Staffordshire and Stoke, and the Cannock Chase National Landscape. Main Responsibilities

In this role you'll: Lead, manage and input to delivery of technical specialist environmental advice to ensure environmental compliance. Lead and oversee development and delivery of plans, strategies and initiatives to support Staffordshire’s environment. Ensure management and availability of data and evidence to support effective decision making. Leadership and management of a team of specialists. Partnership working, commissioning and managing stakeholder relations. The Ideal Candidate

You'll have: Significant knowledge and a working understanding of environmental policy and practice relevant to England. Experience of working across multiple disciplines. Experience of management, with a proven track record of leading and developing initiatives, plans and strategies, and working collaboratively to deliver environmental outcomes.
