Senior Waste Services Manager Location:

£75,963 - £81,765 This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop the council's waste services across Dumfries and Galloway. The post of Senior Waste Services Manager is a regionwide role that supports the strategic and operational delivery of waste services. This position will oversee the Council's waste collection and disposal functions, managing a portfolio of assets including a Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) plant, household waste recycling centres, and transfer stations. The role will be responsible for the future development of the waste, recycling, and re-use strategy, aligning with local and national policies such as the circular economy and zero landfill initiatives, and advancing the Council's ambitions related to climate change in waste services. The Senior Waste Services Manager will directly manage service managers with operational responsibilities for waste collection and disposal, ensuring a customer-focused service through effective management and visible leadership.
