Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, your role will be to manage and assist in ensuring all machinery is properly maintained through a PPM programme whilst also dealing with breakdowns as and when required.
On a day-to-day basis you will: Complete and adhere to all Health & Safety related documentation for all maintenance activities. Carry out preventative planned maintenance and repairs to site. Deal with plant breakdowns - ensuring it is returned to production in a timely manner, and temporary fixes are followed up with a permanent solution. Create and close off work orders. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping keeping areas clean, tidy and hazard-free.
Who would suit this role? Ideal candidates will be apprentice-trained Engineers with either a Mechanical or Electrical bias who have previously worked within a manufacturing or heavy industrial sector. You should be able to read drawings, have a good working knowledge of motors, sensors, inverters, hydraulic systems, and pneumatics.
