Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated PET-CT/Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing PET-CT and other nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care. This role requires a thorough understanding of imaging techniques, safety protocols, and patient management.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform PET-CT and Nuclear Medicine Procedures: Conduct PET-CT scans and other nuclear medicine imaging procedures as prescribed by physicians. Patient Preparation and Care: Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explain the process, and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure. Radiopharmaceutical Handling: Safely handle and administer radiopharmaceuticals, following all safety and regulatory guidelines. Image Acquisition and Quality Control: Operate imaging equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images, and perform quality control checks to ensure optimal image quality. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate patient records, document procedures, and assist in the preparation of diagnostic reports. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of imaging equipment to ensure proper functioning. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including radiation safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality standards. Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications:

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field. Certification: Registered or Classified through

The Register of Clinical Technologists (the RCT) or the HCPC Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in PET-CT and nuclear medicine imaging. Skills: Strong technical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of PET-CT imaging techniques, radiopharmaceuticals, and safety protocols.
