We are looking to grow our engineering leadership capability within the Ultra Maritime UK business. We have a number of exciting opportunities to join us as a Project Engineering Lead. The Project Engineering Lead is a key role within our engineering delivery teams. This role works closely with the Project Manager and the System Design Authority on a project. As the Project Engineering Lead you will be responsible for successfully delivering engineering activities to time, cost and quality. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, delivering a defined scope of engineering work. This role will suit someone with a background in working on complex engineering projects with experience of work package management. Ideally you will have: Great communication skills to build strong relationships within the team and with stakeholders Experience of managing a team through an engineering development project, ideally from requirements elicitation stage through to production Experience of defence projects Experience of engineering estimation Experience of producing engineering plans with dependencies, assumptions, risk and opportunities identified, communicated and managed An understanding of the different design gates a project goes through, from bid to full scale production readiness review An understanding of configuration management and change management A background in systems engineering, with an understanding of electrical, mechanical and software engineering This role requires eligibility for Security Check (SC) clearance (ideally with no caveats). We have three sites: Greenford, Loudwater and Weymouth. This is a hybrid role giving you the flexibility to balance working from home and being on-site as necessary, with occasional UK travel. To be successful in this role you are likely to need to be regularly on site at either Greenford or Weymouth, typically three days per week.
