We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Finance Director to join an established, family-run SME operating within the care sector. The Role

Responsibilities Define and execute financial strategies to support growth and sustainability. Provide expert advice and guidance to senior leadership, ensuring financial decisions align with business goals. Lead projects related to long-term forecasting to support strategic growth opportunities. Financial Management Create and analyse forecasts to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Strengthen internal controls, processes, and compliance, safeguarding the company’s financial health. Deliver timely, insightful financial reports and recommendations to stakeholders. Collaboration & Communication Build strong working relationships across all departments, supporting operational leaders with tailored financial insights. Develop and mentor teams, fostering collaboration and growth. Act as a trusted adviser to the Board, offering clear, concise communication to influence key decisions. Requirements

The Ideal Candidate Professional Credentials: CCAB-qualified accountant with 3+ years of senior financial leadership experience (e.g., FD or Financial Controller). Sector Expertise: Proven track record working with SMEs, particularly those with non-executive Boards or external investors. Technical Skills: Strong Excel proficiency and familiarity with SAP B1 (or equivalent software). Analytical & Strategic Vision: Experience in acquisitions, forecasting, and long-term planning. Leadership & Communication: A collaborative, empathetic approach with the ability to inspire and educate diverse teams and stakeholders. Advantageous experience Previous experience as a Finance Director in a growing SME business. A growth mindset with a focus on business partnering, working closely with the Board to support strategic planning and drive sustainable growth. Benefits
