up to £60,000 depending on skills and experience What you’ll be doing: Collaborating with the wider business and external professional teams to develop sourcing and contracting strategies for a long-term investment programme in the Northwest Understanding sourcing strategies and providing relevant supporting data Identifying risks, issues, and liabilities within procurement and contract approaches Developing and managing procurement plans aligned with stakeholder requirements Providing commercial and supply chain support to delivery programmes Leading the procurement process, including tender pack preparation, evaluation, and contract award Ensuring sourcing and contracting documentation is of the highest standard Leading supplier negotiations on commercial terms to secure the best outcomes for the business Supporting the development and implementation of supply chain strategies Coordinating the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution Ensuring compliance with all internal and external regulatory requirements Contributing to bidding activities to meet budget targets in line with business objectives Reporting cost savings and cost avoidance achieved through procurement activities Applying whole life costing principles, including Make vs Buy analysis and contractor selection prior to tender issuance Your skills and experiences: Essential: Experience in supply chain management within the construction industry In-depth knowledge of JCT and NEC construction contracts Understanding of business and procurement methods, techniques, processes, policies, and strategies Experience in contract management and supplier performance oversight Desirable: Experience on the client side MCIPS qualification Experience in the public sector or regulated environments is beneficial Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
