To take a delegated lead on the development of service objectives or projects in liaison with colleagues. To assume delegated tasks as requested by the Head of Nutrition & Dietetics, including participation in working groups and policy development groups.
Organise and manage own caseload including clinical cases, health promotion, and education. To deal with initial complaints sensitively, avoiding escalation where possible in accordance with Trust policies whilst maintaining effective communication with the Head of Nutrition & Dietetics.
To be responsible for the security, care, and maintenance of equipment (e.g., wheelchair scales, hoist scales) ensuring standards of infection control and safety are complied with, including equipment loaned to clients and that used for community-based programmes.
To be responsible for ordering and maintaining department supplies of nutrition support samples, associated enteral feed equipment, and ensure current information is available for their use.
To advise the Head of Nutrition & Dietetics on issues of service delivery including clinical activity, service pressures versus service capacity.
