It is suitable for those who have just completed core surgical training or those looking for specialist training in an area of subspecialist interest. There will be opportunity to become involved in clinical research and quality improvement projects at an ICS and / or NHS London level. The post holder should have completed their General Professional Training and Core Surgical Training (or equivalent) and be registered with the GMC. The Urology Department is divided into 5 teams: (A) Andrology, Penile Cancer, and Reconstruction, (B) Benign Endourology and Stones, (C) Cancer (Robotic) and Robotic Reconstruction - Upper Tract and Pelvic, (D) Functional, Female and General Urology, and (E) Emergency. Each team has at least one senior and middle grade position. These posts are replacement positions across the teams and can commence April 2025. The on-call commitment is to the Urology department at St George's only on a 1 in 10 "registrar of the week" (8-5 Mon-Fri and 48 hour weekend) and a separate 1 in 10 weekday night rota. About us
