Description

The Role The IT Support Engineer is responsible for maintaining and supporting The Instant Group's IT infrastructure, ensuring business continuity through effective management of SSO, Active Directory, networks, and wireless systems. The role involves Level 1 and Level 2 support, hardware and software maintenance, issue resolution, and cybersecurity monitoring. The engineer collaborates with internal teams, manages vendors, and supports stakeholders, emphasizing expertise in Microsoft technologies, cloud infrastructure, and networking.

What will you be doing?

Configure and maintain company hardware, providing necessary support. Maintain an up-to-date hardware catalogue and service catalogue across the enterprise. Take ownership to log, process, and resolve issues through the helpdesk and issue tracking systems, working with other internal team members or third-party support to resolve root causes of escalated operational problems in a timely fashion. Assist in providing support and guidance to the IT Support Apprentice. Support managing Azure Active Directory. Support managing The Instant Group Network. Support The Instant Group Wireless networks. Deep knowledge of Windows and Mac OS. Support and manage Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). Support IT requirements of stakeholders in the business. Manage Microsoft AD/O365 and all third-party infrastructure partners. Support ongoing management of overall infrastructure. Provide an autonomous service to manage external vendors. Able to function as a single point of contact for the IT Support needs. Responsible for checking the Cyber Security tools for any abnormalities and to resolve and report abnormalities to the Head of Cyber Security and Infrastructure.

Exposure to Service-Oriented Architectures in a hybrid On-Premises / Cloud environment is a plus. Exposure to defining infrastructure technology roadmap. Prior experience working in a shared infrastructure organisation. Understanding of IP networks and traffic, firewalls, routing, etc.
