Salary: Up to 65,000 per annum
Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

The Role:
Define and put into practice the site's adherence to legal, food safety, and quality standards. Take the lead in promoting food safety and quality, ensuring that BRCGS, customer, and any other site standards are followed, and continuous improvement is achieved. Serve as the primary liaison for technical customer visits and audits, demonstrating active involvement in the factory with a coaching and motivating style. Provide team training and development, complete annual appraisals, and offer support where required. Drive audit-ready daily standards in the factory environment and documentation, ensuring retailer and third-party standards are fulfilled and maintained throughout the site. Implement and manage the system, including completion and review of procedures, paperwork, and spreadsheets. Act as the main point of contact for all retailer management, including in-person meetings, reviews, and problem-solving, as well as assistance with managing retailer systems and updates.
The Candidate: This is a customer-facing role dealing with our customers, so experience of working with major supermarkets is essential. Previous experience within Technical in the food sector. Previous management experience within a technical team. Degree level or similar in food science. HACCP Level 4 and Food Safety Level 4. Auditor training. Knowledge of retailer systems and codes of practice. BRC Lead Audit trained.
