About us:

As a premier first-party Xbox Game Studio, we are passionate about making genre-defining games that are accessible, beautiful, and most of all fun. We are looking to expand our diverse team as we continue driving forward our BAFTA award-winning Forza Horizon franchise. About the role:

You will work with the Design team to lead, implement and deliver fun and innovative game systems and content for the BAFTA-winning open-world Forza Horizon franchise. You’ll create and own key systems and designs, championing quality throughout the entire development process. You'll be an excellent, approachable communicator as you collaborate with a diverse team of game designers and other department leads. This is a permanent role based in our state-of-the-art studio in Royal Leamington Spa. We have a hybrid work model in place with a minimum of 3 days a week in the studio. Relocation assistance is available if required. What you’ll do:

Design and lead key systems and experiences. Take ownership of gameplay features and independently drive them forwards. Build genre-leading gameplay experiences in our suite of proprietary tools. Work autonomously and collaborate with passionate inter-disciplinary teams to champion quality in your features and experiences. Mentor, train and inspire other members of the team. What you’ll bring:

Industry experience in a Senior Design position or similar on at least one shipped AAA title. An effective capability to be a highly reliable, autonomous member of the team. A strong ability to identify and solve problems throughout all stages of development. A demonstrable track record of quality in your previous work. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A genuine passion for games. This is a fantastic opportunity to make world-class games with an established, talented, and collaborative team at one of the industry’s most exciting first-party game studios. Playground Games is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, we believe that diversity and inclusion fuels creativity. We are dedicated to creating a safe, comfortable and welcoming working environment. We are committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion across age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation. At Playground Games we recognise the importance of self-development, career progression, well-being and retention of our colleagues.
