As a Sales Manager, you'll play a vital role in upholding our reputation and ensuring our customers receive the highest level of service. Key responsibilities as a Sales Manager: Sales Strategy and Performance: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets and maximise profitability. Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management. Recruit, train, motivate, and mentor the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture. Set sales targets, track individual and team performance, and provide coaching and feedback to drive continuous improvement. Maintain strong relationships with high-value customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty. Resolve escalated customer issues and ensure prompt and satisfactory resolution. Monitor the entire sales process, from lead generation to vehicle delivery, ensuring a seamless customer experience. Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and service, to facilitate smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Set competitive pricing strategies and adjust pricing based on market conditions and customer demand. Monitor market trends and guide the team on pricing negotiations and discounts. Implement marketing strategies to generate leads, increase brand awareness, and drive customer footfall to the dealership. Monitor the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and make necessary adjustments as required. Prepare and manage the sales department's budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control. Monitor and analyse sales data, financial reports, and key performance indicators to drive profitability and operational efficiency. Required skills as a Sales Manager: Knowledge of working within an automotive sales environment. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving sales growth. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a sales team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends. Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a customer-centric approach. Proficiency in using CRM systems, sales tools, and relevant software applications. Understanding of financing and leasing options and their impact on sales. Valid driver's licence and clean driving record.
