Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in working with sheet metal, demonstrating proficiency in various fabrication techniques and the use of hand and power tools. This role requires an individual who is capable of interpreting technical drawings and specifications to create high-quality metal components for a range of applications. Duties Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products according to specifications and technical drawings. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently, ensuring high-quality workmanship. Perform welding tasks as required, ensuring strong and durable joints. Conduct roofing tasks, including the installation of metal roofing systems. Assist with plumbing tasks related to sheet metal installations. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining safety standards. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Carry out painting tasks on finished products as needed. Requirements Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic or in a similar role. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Familiarity with masonry techniques is advantageous. Experience in carpentry is beneficial but not essential. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
