If you are an adult (over 19) and wish to improve your English skills to gain employment, launch a new career, or improve your promotion prospects, or you want to be able to support your children or just prove to yourself and others that you can do it, then this is the course for you.

You will study language skills, analysis of texts, spelling, punctuation and grammar, presentation skills, and persuasive writing.

The course takes place over one academic year starting in September and ending with 2 exams in May/June the following year.

You will attend one 3-hour lesson per week and will need to complete some self-study during the week.

There are a choice of daytime and evening classes. Some flexibility to swap days is possible to fit in with your shift patterns if necessary.

FURTHER INFORMATION This course is for adults who have not previously achieved a GCSE grade C or grade 4. You will be asked to complete an online assessment to check your current skill level before being offered a place on the course.

You may be offered a place on a pre-GCSE course to build your confidence and skills before joining a GCSE class next year.

Make the most of these extraordinary times and gain a nationally-recognised qualification. A short online course is a significant first step to improving your skills and achieving your career goals.

The applicable fees for this course, including any available discounts, will be listed in the information above.
