CAD Draughtsperson
Salary - Upto £35K based on experience
Main function of job:
Production of detail drawings and design packages for manufacture, incorporation of engineering changes. Duties/Responsibilities
Collaborate with project engineers, to produce "Right First Time” design packages from proposals and specifications, including; Detail manufacturing and installation drawings Factory Acceptance Procedures Installation and Operation Manuals Review and incorporation of engineering change orders Produce proposal drawings in conjunction with sales and applications engineers Incorporation of engineering change requests Basic design analysis eg Tolerance/ interference check, simple mechanical calculations eg Hoop stress. Liase with manufacturing, quality, purchasing and planning to ensure "Design for Manufacture" and "Value Engineering" principles are applied. Play a key role in developing our CAD system; standardising and automating design processes and maintaining the document management system. Key Contacts

HNC Mechanical Engineering/ Computer Aided Engineering/ Design, 3 years minimum industrial experience in a mechanical / aerospace / fabrication environment. Knowledge of CNC machined components, close tolerance parts and pressure bearing components /systems / vessel fabrication would be advantageous A keen interest in computer aided design and manufacture, industry trends and latest technology to optimise the process.
