A great new opportunity to join a Water sector specialist who continues their long-standing relation with Welsh Water until 2030 at least. My client, a Civil Engineering contractor with a company turnover of nearly 50 million, requires a Design Manager to lead a portfolio of projects through the construction phase. You will be responsible for ensuring the buildability and value engineering of projects. You will be required to attend occasional meetings across Wales, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
As a Design Manager you will:
Lead the design team, ensuring that they meet clients' requirements and project objectives
Manage the design function, ensuring that design deliverables are produced to allocated key dates
Ensure the organisation of design elements, documenting them into the Design Management Plan and preparing regular status updates
Attend Programme, project, and technical meetings
Provide support during construction and commissioning stages of work
Ensure that design complies with all Health and Safety codes and legislation
Our client requires a Design Manager with:
HND/Degree in an engineering related discipline
Extensive experience working in a multi-disciplinary design environment
Experience of working on major projects within the Water sector, involving both Civil and M&E aspects
Salary and benefits include:
£55,000 - £65,000 per annum
Company car or car allowance
25 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays)
