Lead Customer Insight Analyst, Manchester to £48,000 + bonus & benefits

An opportunity to drive the analysis, develop statistical models, produce clear insights, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, in support of Customer, Marketing, Pricing, Brand, Digital and Product strategies. You will utilise market-leading analytical tools which will produce creative and actionable solutions for the business. You will also be expected to coach other team members and champion best practice across the department.

The Role

Perform detailed and insightful analysis to solve complex business problems and/or to gain a deep understanding of various business dynamics. Maintain an extensive knowledge of statistical techniques to ensure a market-leading approach to analysis and modelling. Liaise with stakeholders to communicate strategy and outputs to senior management, in both a technical and non-technical way. Provide technical leadership to drive forward effective and efficient solutions that deliver business requirements and add demonstrable value. Identify and oversee the development and implementation of market-leading methodologies. Evaluate methodologies, understanding how they fit into the wider picture, and identify where they can be improved. Ensure that the abundant data sources available are fully utilised across the department. Represent the Analytics team on cross-functional projects, proactively identifying how external projects impact or interact with the team. Coach and mentor other analysts, acting as a role model within the Analytics department. The Candidate

Educated to degree level in a numerical discipline. Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Very strong knowledge of a range of statistical techniques and concepts e.g. logistic regression, clustering, decision trees, machine learning, uplift modelling. Excellent SAS skills (Base, Enterprise Guide, Miner) and SQL skills. High level of competency in MS Office - particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Background in financial services, preferably the insurance sector. Awareness of the insurance market and market best practice. Ability to communicate and present technical information to senior management clearly and confidently. Use of other analytical and statistical tools e.g. R, Python, Emblem is beneficial.
