We are Controlled Space, a specialist in venue and event security, recognised for our commitment to excellence in crowd management and safety. As we prepare for a busy event schedule, we are looking to expand our team of Event SIA Door Supervisors in York. Opportunities are available at various locations, including the LNER Community Stadium. Whether you seek extensive work or prefer a limited number of shifts, our casual contract provides the flexibility to determine your working frequency. Given the demands of the events industry, availability during weekends and evenings is crucial. Steward > Door Supervisor > Team Leader > Event Supervisor > Head of Security > Operational Support > Operational Management Requirements Duties And Responsibilities of a Controlled Space employee Ability to work in a team or individually To provide a high standard of customer care Carry out pre-event checks of venues To ensure an even flow of people entering the venue / event at all times To monitor crowds for signs of overcrowding and difficulties in busy areas Make yourself aware of on site facilities and be ready for questions from members of the public Be ready to investigate any disturbances or incidents To respond to emergencies – by raising the alarm and providing necessary and appropriate immediate help and assisting the emergency services as required Ensure health and safety guidelines and regulations are adhered to by all stakeholders including but not limited to Controlled Space employees, customers, and venue staff
