Do you have an interest in acquisition marketing? If you’ve got technical marketing expertise and direct response strategy, planning and implementation experience, this could be the role for you. We’re looking for a SME Acquisition Marketing Manager to join our SME Marketing Team for a 12-month fixed term contract. You’ll deliver online and offline direct response lead generation activity. You'll develop and implement effective plans to gain new small to medium enterprise (SME) clients, helping AXA Health grow profits and meet sales targets. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at our Tunbridge Wells office, visiting clients or attending industry events. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition. What you’ll be doing:

Develop and deliver direct lead generation activity to acquire customers, through multiple channels. Manage campaigns across channels including paid search, SEO, email, display, third-party lead generators, introducers, video, social media and cold email, while ensuring continual optimisation for conversion. Adopt a test and learn approach to explore new offline direct response channels. Find new ways to drive leads on a longer-term basis. Develop annual forecasts across all channels to drive cost efficiencies and quality. Establish requirements and create actionable management information (MI) and reporting to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of plans, activity and channels to optimise lead generation activity. Work closely with AXA Health colleagues ensuring overall acquisition activity is aligned. Ensure plans and activity are managed within allocated budgets. Support SME pages of axahealth.co.uk including working with the Optimizely CMS to create and publish pages. What you’ll bring:

Significant technical marketing expertise in lead generation, data management and analytical skills, working to cost per acquisition metrics – essential. Experience in direct response strategy, planning and implementation – essential. Budget and supplier management skills, with understanding of direct response key performance indicators (KPIs) – essential. Relationship management skills. Commercial and strategic awareness. Knowledge of health insurance and health services products available from AXA Health and wider marketplace. Project management skills. Professional qualification in marketing such as IDM or CIM (or digital equivalent) – preferred. As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom. This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
